The idea for an acoustic album was derived from a special performance held by Muki and Piloni, in which the two performed unique versions of Muki's songs. The process by which the performance was created caused the artist to reconnect with the songs in their most simplified form, and awakened a desire to record them in a new album. 'Real and Close' provided the theme for the album, and quickly became a radio hit when it was welcomed into the Galgalatz play-list.
