Songwriter, composer and singer Yitzhak Klepter's new and unique album, "Free Imagination", was released in the beginning of 2009 under the aroma music label.
The album includes, for the first time ever, Klepter's greatest hits recorded at a rare late 1980's performance.
Yitzhak Klepter is considered one of Israeli music's greatest songwriters (words and lyrics) and guitar players. His songs include "Sitting on the fence", "We met", "Free Imagination", "She's so beautiful", "Bedouin love song", "Note in tune" and others that have become Israeli music classics.
Yitzhak Klepter was a member of groundbreaking local bands such as "The Churchills", "Kaveret" and "Note in tune" and cooperated with well know singers such as Arik Einstein.
2008 marked Klepter's stage front comeback. At the beginning of the year Klepter was awarded the "Neomi Shemer" Israeli Song life achievement award by "ACUM". The panel of judges stated "Yitzhak Klepter is a gifted musician who writes from the heart. He is a songwriter and composer who has never chased trends. His music is very basic, original and moving. It borders on naivety which makes it so magical because the true path to a person's heart can only be found through naivety.
The sound of Klepter's guitar is just like a singing voice. He is a true blues artist and his music will never grow old. Every one of his songs can be heard and enjoyed time and time again.
