Types of Beans
The green-colored beans arrive from a variety of countries, each with its own characteristics, to create a strong, rich coffee blend, boasting a unique and full flavor. Among the dozens of different types of coffee plants, there are two main strains: Arabica and Robusta. The Arabica species is the more popular of the two, consisting of 75% of global manufacturing. We at Aroma import the finest Arabica beans to Israel. This is the highest-quality bean, with a sweetish flavor and a rich aroma. The species is delicate, and requires dedicated treatment and careful processing. Brazil is the largest grower of the Arabica strain. The Robusta species consists of 25% of global production. Did you know that Vietnam is the main grower of this strain? Robusta is less delicate that Arabica, and more durable in variable growing conditions. The amount of caffeine in this strain is higher than in Arabica.
